Hey all! Been a while since I’ve checked in. Sorry about that! Things are busy with school and my newfound online coaching biz, so I’ve been focusing on that a bit more! If you’re interested more about what I’m doing with that, you can find me on Facebook at Avocado Athlete!
This past weekend, I got the chance to head out of town for a bit and experience tons of great vegan food in a new city, so I thought I’d share through a truly Marvelous in My Monday post :)
Marvelous was…my first ever vegan gluten free donut from Petit Lapin in Westmount, outside of Montreal. Seriously moist, seriously delicious.
Marvelous was…the best vegan gluten free baked goods I’ve EVER had in the form of a tahini peanut butter cookie and an almond caramel cupcake from Sophie Sucree in Montreal. Can you tell I didn’t exactly stick to my meal plan???? But I couldn’t pass up these rare opportunities! We have no vegan gluten free baked goods in Boston, so it was time to treat myself :)
Marvelous was…finding a local gym, paying $15 to get in, and crushing legs while on vacation. This was by far the biggest gym I’d ever been to, and I switched up my workout quite a bit.
Marvelous was…soul food at Aux Vivres in the form of roasted potato wedges with chipotle mayo, home fries with housemade chili and vegan sour cream, and curried chickpeas and potatoes. This was the best meal I’ve had in ages.
Marvelous was…feeling like a total hippie with my hat and my green juice. My happy place :)
Marvelous was…my first ever Tim Horton’s. Not quite sure what all the rage is about, but I did feel like a local walking around the city!
Marvelous was…seeing the Notre Dame Basilica in old town Montreal. I’ve been to a lot of old churches in Europe and South America, but the colors in this one really made it one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.
Marvelous was…getting back home to groceries and fresh produce. Berries for breakfast!!
Hope y’all have a FAB Monday!
